Gill Stanyard is a qualified Vision Fast Guide through the School of Lost Borders in Colorado and founder of Listening Tree Vision Quest.  

Gill is a former Non Executive Director for the NHS. She currently works as a Psychotherapist and as a  Life Development Coach and  also Medical Leadership Coach with doctors in Scotland and further afield. Gill has much experience in working with people in distress, with a particular specialism is low self-esteem, low confidence and shame. She is passionate about showing and sharing how nature can reveal our true nature and empowering people to get in touch with their own power.


Bettina Straub is a qualified Vision Fast Guide through the School of Lost Borders and has much experience in Wilderness Rites of Passage work. She is also a qualifed Wilderness First Responder in First Aid.

Bettina received her Transpersonal Psychology degree in Colorado, where she developed a grounded understanding of Eastern mindfulness and human health, coupled with Western psychological approaches. She works as a therapist and as a mindfulness instructor in the USA.

 Bettina, Gill and Tom have all completed their own quests, so you are in  very good hands 🙂


Tom will be assisting us on the course

Tom Fosbury trained as an Outdoor Instructor in North Wales and has experience of trekking and mountaineering in Alaska, Canada and New Zealand. He has spent years exploring the wild places of Dumfries and Galloway with a camera and developing a connection to the land.
